Very comfortable house with amazing views of the sea and harbour. The two heat pumps kept us warm in the morning and evening chill. No neighbours to speak of, so a very quiet place. My husband and I spent a wonderfully quiet and relaxing two weeks here. We walked a different beach or part of beach almost every day, enjoyed the birdlife around the property (including wekas) and the harbour, and were treated to the most splendid sunsets. One of us also kayaked for half a day, from the boat ramp to and around Uretara Island, which was very nice! Loved our stay!

Great place for a family getaway, plenty of room and well equipped kitchen. A second (small/drinks) fridge would’ve been handy with 5 adults, so bring chilly bins and ice. Fabulous views of beautiful Ōhiwa Harbour with stunning sunsets 🌅 older retro house with beach vibes, it’s well set up with good wifi, large smart tv. and clean bbq. And games etc for everyone. We had a lovely time and would book again.

Beautiful spot, spent a lot of time growing up in this area and the views from the house were very nostalgic. Walking distance to the harbour & beach, the home has air conditioning in living area and master bedroom, very good phone service & wifi . Everything you need to feel right at home & enjoy the beautiful surroundings

Absolutely stunning part of New Zealand The house looks over a river mouth with amazing views and sunsets. It is specious even for six people and has everything needed to have a comfortable stay. Sheets and towels were provided and the sleeping rooms were perfect. The house itself has aged, which was visible in the bathroom and kitchen however, nothing to hinder from a comfortable stay. Sadly, they had an insect issue, when we visited, which meant we had to be careful where we left our things and food. The owners were accommodating and responsive, when we communicated this and we're sure they will take care of the issue.
