Beautiful property - loads of room and the hot tub really made it a restful and communal at the same time

A beautiful place to stay. We loved the large garden and log fire. The bedrooms were a great size. Really homely, great hosts… we didn’t want to leave!

Great space with open plan living which was ideal for catching up with friends. The space was well fitted with plenty of logs for the fire and an ample kitchen for group meals. It is worth noting that WiFi was temperamental and we often used 4G. Also odd rules regarding hot tub, with an additional agreement and the need to bring own towels. Local pub the Tickled Tout served lovely meals (large portions too) and plenty of walks and attractions nearby.

A beautiful property hidden away off the beaten track. Furnished with style and lots of attention to detail. The kitchen is equipped with everything you can imagine. Check in and check out very simple. The brownies were also a special treat so thank you. We had an issue with the heating as it is controlled off site and there was no opportunity to control ourselves. The radiators in the bedroom went off at 10ish and by the time we went to the bedrooms at 11 it was freezing cold. The owner resolved quickly though. Also note bedrooms are listed as 4 x double beds. It should actually read 3 x double bedrooms and 1 x twin bed. It is not a joiner twin bed so is separate mattresses and bedding. If you have 4 couples this might be frustrating which is what we found. Having 2 x single beds in a double sized room should be listed as a twin room regardless of the size. But a beautiful place to put your feet up and go on some great country walks.

We had a lovely stay, the views were great. The accommodation was very clean and well kept. The barn was a charming property in the countryside. We would have liked a TV in the bedrooms, as there was competition for the one TV. Teenagers love their devices, but wanted to watch movies after a long day of walking and fresh air. The hot water was hit and miss, we had to run the hot tap for a while on some occasions to get the hot water up to the required heat to shower, but other times it was fine. Overall lovely place, but expensive.
