Our TRUE review for the Jaisalmer tour regarding our stay at airbnb karan singh resort. Mr. Karan is the caretaker of the resort who is a good person also very professional. The place is average, it's living conditions are not really good. Facilities like soap in the bathroom , cleaning of rooms are not adequate, the rooms are not cleaned everyday , even the garbage collected in the garbage box is not collected daily. Charges heavily for each and every facility provided like transport lunch dinner etc. There are only three rooms and fourth room is very small and had a commode leak . It is a good place for eight people only whereas he has claimed for a stay for upto 16 people . The place is 15 kms outside Jaisalmer. The family people do lunch dinner breakfast Only one servant to take care Professional resort does not run this way.

This is a good option if you want to stay away from hustle bustle of the city and yet close to it! We had a great time on this experience esp with the clear skies, open farm visit and the organic food options prepared by Karan's wife. There were some hiccups with the water facility but the barbecue night compensated it well. The food charges are a bit on the higher spectrum but can't complain as the quality was really good! Overall a good value of money if you want to enjoy a couple of days in Jaisalmer and explore the city.

Karan was a fantastic host and the property is a unique and beautiful experience. We were made to feel at home and loved exploring the farm, playing with the baby goats and other animals and enjoying the peace and quiet. The food provided was incredible and a true highlight of the stay.

Karan’s home was an ideal place for us since we wanted to stay away from the hustle bustle of the city, especially on New Year’s Eve when Jaisalmer is at it’s peak. While the rest of the city was packed and going crazy at the desert camps we had a supremely relaxed & quiet barbecue with Karan. All the food was prepared by his wife who is an marvellous cook. From traditional Rajasthani food, to hot aloo parathas, to eggs made to order. The food served was always fresh, hot and in plenty. The staff was friendly, courteous and very responsive to our requests. The rooms were really spacious with well-functioning heaters which made them cozy in the harsh, cold and dry conditions of Jaisalmer winters. Karan was extremely helpful, patient and integral in helping me plan my itinerary before I arrived. His recommendations for activities suited our interests and the family had a blast. He was always checking-in before arrival and through out the stay. If you are looking for a rustic and homely vibe with a friendly host, this is the place to be.

This place certainly needs improvements, we faced multiple issues including toilets not working properly, unavailability of hot water throughout our stay. We were also expecting more privacy from the host. Definitely not worth the money!!
