Kapil's house is in the main fort and has great views. The entire house is filled with decorative items making it a unique place to stay. The rooms are comfortable with all amenities. Rahul was there to guide us through the trip with everything we needed. I was travelling with my family and had a good experience.

Kapil and his brother are great guys - no doubt about it. The accommodation was extremely poor in terms of hygiene and cleanliness perspective. Heath and safety risk is very high if you are with family (especially kids). His place is suitable for college grads or people who don't care about hygiene factors and single or without children. I don't believe I received the service what I had paid for. The pictures posted in internet changes perception which is absolutely unreal. I didn't get wifi at all. The air cooler makes very loud sound throughout the night and wakes me up several times. No sound sleep at all. I was told that I will get 2 jeeps (we were 2 families) for our Desert safari trip but I got only one. I paid Rs 1500 per head for the desert safari, camel ride and folk dance etc (without night stay) but when asked locals and others I realised that I have paid 2 and half times more per head. Again I don't mind spending but I did not receive an equivalent quality service. So overall my experience was not pleasant and not worth value for money (instead I would say it's a rip-off). I would suggest to make the room and amenities clean everyday and ensure its safe for people who have any medical conditions. For travellers with kids, I would suggest to think carefully rather deciding based on nice colourful pictures.

Brief Overview: Kapil’s place is in one of the towers of the Jaisalmer Fort . It has 6 rooms at present of which 3 have windows with great views of Jaisalmer city. Location: The place is located within the walls of Jaisalmer Fort and the last stretch into the fort needs to be covered by auto or walking as 4-wheelers are not allowed inside the fort. There are multiple eateries serving Indian and Continental food at a few minutes walk from Kapil’s place. Hospitality: Kapil was an amazing host and not only did he pick us up from Jaisalmer Railway Station at 11:30pm on the day of our arrival, he also dropped us off and helped us board our train at 1:00am on the last day of our stay in Jaisalmer. Throughout our stay at his place, he and his staff were attentive to our every need and regularly went the extra mile to ensure our stay was comfortable. They had a few staff too who were available for us even at late hours of the night. During our trip to Rajasthan, we stayed at multiple Airbnb accommodations with good experiences at all of them, however, we can confidently say that Kapil was the best host we had during our entire journey through 5 cities. Airbnb Accuracy: All pics and description on Airbnb of the three rooms we stayed in were accurate and the various facilities were maintained in very good condition. Overall Experience: We really enjoyed our stay at Kapil’s place and I have strongly recommended the same to a few of my friends and colleagues already. We wish Kapil all the very best in his goal to make his homestay a success and will surely stay there again whenever in Jaisalmer.
