Lakeview lodge has adequate accommodations and is a beautiful backdrop to a getaway. Upon arrival, I was contacted by the host to inform me that the camper that my friends brought was to be removed from the premises immediately, although it was only parked and not hooked up to any utilities. Through trying to reach a compromise, I was contacted by Airbnb to clarify the situation, as well as visited on the property with no advance notice by 2 gentlemen who are friends of the host. We discussed the situation and the gentlemen left. The next day, 2 different gentlemen stopped by without prior notice because of a wifi outage that we didn’t report. They came inside, reconnected and tested it, confirmed it was working, and departed. The following night, I was contacted by an Airbnb ambassador to apologize and inform me to continue to follow the rules stated in the listing, which we were happy to oblige. The house is nice and we had a nice vacation, but the surveillance was disappointing.

What a great place to stay, the view from the house was lovely! We enjoyed the lake and caught a lot of fish!

Erin was great! We loved the house at the beautiful, secluded Big Lick retreat. We brought a motor-dinghy which was perfect for the lake's flat water. Be advised, the boat launch has a shallow angle and can be quite muddy; be sure you have proper 4 wheel drive and recovery options if you plan to launch a medium or larger sized boat from big lick retreat. (there were a few other boat launch options on our way there)

Erin was an awesome and responsive host! The house was clean and exactly as in the pictures! Be aware it is a LONG way from civilivation, so if remote is what your looking for this is it!! The view and the entire property is breathtaking!!!

Private location, boat launch, dock, hiking trails and fishing pond are all great. Nice place to spend a vacation.
