enjoyed my stay very clean, with beautiful views of table mountain, the sea, and Robben island from the huge balcony and close to the beach restaurants and shopping malls.Will definitely stay again

Howards place is a great way to spend your holidays in Bigbay. However we were a bit disappointed in the state we found the apartment. The pictures on Airbnb are outdated and the furniture and especially the kitchen is not state as advertised. Upon arrival we had to clean the kitchen and the fridge which was smelly. During this we found multiple dead cockroaches (didn’t find live ones!). There where doorknobs missing and drawers wouldn’t open in the kitchen, the outside furniture was rusted and not inviting at all to make use off. The WiFi was already reported to be slow, but it so slow it wouldn’t even let you check your mail. We also encountered difficulties with the security guards. We received one phone, with which we could call open the gate to the complex. Unfortunately it stopped working after a couple days and we noticed the security guards were not to happy to sign us in as guests every time we had to enter the compound. This leaded to an unpleasant feeling and unnecessary discussions with the guards every time we arrived back at the complex. There were also a few pleasant surprises. It turns out you have a great view of the table mountain from the balcony. The beds were really comfortable, television had a lot of channels and there is a massive garage just underneath the apartment. Perfect for our kite/surf gear. As mentioned earlier, great place to spend your holidays but be prepared for a few discomforts.

The place looks far better than it did on the pictures. But wifi was very slow and access to the place at the gate was bad coz we were given a phone that was to be used to open the gate but it was not working at all
