We really enjoyed the shared hot tub which we were able to use alone and the beds were comfortable enough. Other than that, be aware that this is a bare bones stay. We started off with the wifi network and password being different than anywhere listed which is unsafe when the stay is out in the forest with limited service. The sheer curtains or no curtains/blinds in spaces also reduced privacy and a feeling of safety. There are no streaming services on the TV, DVDs, games, coffee, tea, towels provided for the hot tub, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and a lot is expected cleaning wise from the guests. This listing is a great start but I think a lot more could be done to make it an enjoyable place to stay!

this charming little place tucked away and into the forest ensures that the only sounds you hear are that of the local birds (including an owl!) the wind rustling through the 2nd growth redwoods and pines, as well as the nearby creek you can walk down to. there's plenty of space for yoga/exercise under the trees and to explore the local ecosystem! the home itself is cozy and the wide windows help provide a beautiful transition from the forest to the inside. kitchen is fully stocked with tools and, the water (in both the kitchen and bath) get nice and extra hot to your preferred temperature. This chalet is exactly what you'll need as a home-base while out exploring the beautiful redwoods and the cozy nearby town of Arcata! run don't walk to book this listing!!

We had the most amazing time at the Chalet - it was peaceful, quiet, absolutely stunning - exactly what was needed on this trip! Would 100% stay here again and again!
