The Annexe is surrounded by beautiful views of the mountain, rugged hills and the wild Atlantic Ocean. There are 2 village pubs within walking distance and one in particular, The Tavern, serves delicious food Wednesday to Sunday. (please note: there are no cooking facilities in the Annexe, but there are tea and coffee making facilities, plus a mini fridge. A small microwave is available on request) This is a great place for couples and solo travellers alike. The Annexe is a self contained unit, with a comfortable bed, good sized ensuite bathroom and a small kitchenette area for making tea and coffee (NB: No cooking facilities, however there is a mini fridge, and a small microwave is available on request) A continental style breakfast is included with your reservation and will be served in the dining room in the main house. I am happy to cater for food intolerances and allergies, but please let me know in advance of your arrival if you can. Local attractions include Croagh Patrick, country walks/hiking, water sports of all kinds, cycling, fishing, good restaurants and lively pubs. The bustling market town of Westport is only 5 miles away, and there are beautiful sandy beaches even closer! Slightly further away we have Clare Island (a 15 minute boat trip from Roonagh) , the holy shrine at Knock, beautiful Achill, the larger town of Castlebar, the beautiful Belmullet Peninsula, Downpatrick Head, Aasleigh Falls and Connemara, amongst many places of interest.
