Alan was such a great host! He’s basically from Melbourne and for someone who just moved to Melbourne, he gave me a lot of survival tips. And his place was really beautiful and clean. His two dogs made me not miss my dogs back home! The tram station towards city was just 5 mins walk. And there were all the necessary shops and restaurants which were located within walkable distance! On the whole it was good experience.

Alan's home is a lovely Victorian house with all the old features in place and well kept. The bathroom has a beautiful modern take on a free standing Victorian tub plus modern shower. We had to leave early due to unforeseen circumstances.

Wow~ amazingly beautiful three story house with lots of special places like swimming pool, tennis court, sauna, gym etc. Golden door nobs, faucets and all other golden eccessaries with antic furniture were so beautiful and looked precious. We enjoyed every bit of the house. Alan and his son Jack's hopitality was so good and Alan's visit to see us during his lunch time was a good surprise. I regret not being able to stay more time in this place because of our dinner appointments with others. We enjoyed bath tub bath in a huge antic bathroom. Next time we want to visit again during summer to enjoy swimming in the pool if possible. We strongly recommend others to visit and stay there meeting great host Alan. We also liked the two friendly polite and cute dogs. I know the names, but don't know how to spell the names. (I miss Kuga and Shinel)

There was a strong and pervasive chemical smell in the room which wasn't present in the shared areas of the house and appeared to be overpowering other concerning odours. I had booked two nights but left in the morning and regretted staying the night. It's a picturesque property set in expansive grounds with plenty of facilities at hand for the warmer months but not recommended if sensitive to environmental toxins and hazards.
