This detached, single-storey holiday cottage sits in the owner’s grounds of some 4 acres of delightful gardens, which you are welcome to explore and is set in its own private garden and terrace, ideal for relaxing or alfresco dining with a gas barbecue provided. This one bedroom cottage has a super-king sized sprung mattress bed for a fantastic night's sleep, with a large wet-room and open plan kitchen, dining, and sitting room with a wood burning stove, complete with an abundance of logs - perfect for a cosy night in. Attractions and nearby amenities The small sleepy Hamlet of Llanilid, lies on the edge of Rondda Cynon Taff and borders the two neighbouring counties of the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend. The Area is steeped in history, boasting a Norman 11th century Motte and Bailey castle mound, a Norman Church (which is said to be built on earlier foundations and still holds services twice a month) A Roman military camp (Gadlys) and a 16th century Old Rectory (the owners property) which is in a picturesque setting, backed by ancient woodlands and surrounded by leafy lanes which are ideal for Walkers and cyclists, with close proximity to Llanilid Film studios. Visit St. Fagans National History Museum Explore the ruins of Coity Castle dating back to the 1100's Nash Point lighthouse is open to the public from Saturday 7th April until Sunday 30th September (weather permitting). For children, visit Barry Island Pleasure Park and the Quaser Centre. St Donats Art Centre offers exhibitions, cinema, dance, theatre, music and children's events. While The Museum of Welsh Life at St Fagans is also 20 minutes away.
