My daughter and I had an excellent weeks holiday. The location was peaceful: the sheep, the hens and the running ducks were an added joy. Tom went above and beyond to make us welcome with flowers, wine, freshly laid eggs and even baked us a fantastic loaf of bread. Situated between Woolacombe and Lynton and Lynmouth, it was in a great walking area. The cottage was warm and comfortable and we will certainly return. Sheila and Lindsey

We found the cottage very easily thanks to Thomas's instructions. We were welcomed by Kathy, who was housesitting for Thomas and Charlie. The cottage is lovely, well equipped as the description online states. It did however smell a little damp, as may be expected for a property of this age and construction. The leather sofa in the open area, obviously a bit old, had markings on it which looked like mould but couldn't be sure. The sitting room was very cosy. Having a shower was an issue, and it should be noted in the description that you need to sit in the bath to have a shower, and even then the floor gets soaked! A couple of suggestions to improve the stay are to install a shower room upstairs, there's plenty of wasted space up there and to fence off an area of garden to be able to stop the chickens etc , to allow the guests to relax with their own dogs, as many like ours are not chicken friendly! Overall, a lovely week was had , it is in a beautiful part of the country.

Fantastic place to stay. Lovely and peaceful, nestled in the north Devon countryside. A great location to discover Exmoor and the beaches of north Devon. We had a brilliant two weeks there, our daughter loved the animals at the property

We had a fantastic time at Thomas’ place! Two adults, one baby and one dog. Thomas set up a real cot for our baby (not just a travel cot) and provided a high chair too. The cottage is really lovely and cosy and has everything you need. Close proximity to all the north Devon attractions. So peaceful, especially at night. The animals on the property were a real highlight for our baby too! Thanks Tom :)
