Helen and Mark’s cottage exceeded our expectations. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and easy to work in. On the next level is a wonderful sunny snug with a Juliette balcony. The top floor, also sunny and bright, has a cosy sleeping space with a very comfortable bed, large closet, and a modern ensuite. The entire cottage is tastefully decorated, with many vintage and handcrafted items creatively arranged throughout. It is obvious that Helen and Mark take great pride in being exceptional hosts, and it is difficult to put into words just how well we were treated!! The location, in a quiet courtyard, is a short walk to the high street and to major points of interest.

Excellent stay, for work purposes, but made very pleasant by having a lovely space to come back to in the evenings. House was spotless, super functional and I wanted for nothing. Helen was excellent - responsive, helpful. I would happily come back for leisure rather than work next time!

This is a lovely place to stay in Wells. We found the recommendations and instructions from Helen very useful. The house is very cosy and the kitchen especially well finished. As a personal preference, we found the bed mattress too hard for us but know that may not bother others.

The cottage is in a quiet, peaceful location a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Wells. It was easy to find. The hosts seem to have thought of everything to make it the perfect place to stay. It is pleasant, comfortable, cosy and extremely well equipped. The hosts are helpful and welcoming and provide information on how things in the accommodation work, and also info on activities and amenities in the local area. We travelled from Castle Cary station by bike and were pleased that there was cycle storage provided with the accommodation. We had a wonderful relaxing break and wished we had stayed longer.
