Barn Drift is exceptional, beautifully appointed & extremely comfortable with glorious & endless gardens, not to mention all the thoughtful touches throughout. Each of the 8 bedrooms has a pair of zip & link beds, so you tell us what you need: doubles & twins. There are camp & cot beds too. Brilliant for families & groups of all ages. Lovely for a birthday, wedding, civil ceremony or just a get-away to a very beautiful place in sublime, abject luxury. Excellent wheelchair access throughout with all communal areas and loo on one level and spacious (short steps to bedrooms). The hall, kitchen with large walk through larder, drawing room and beautiful new dining room are all flooded with warm light through huge windows and sliding doors onto the lovely Walle gardens and endless lawns beyond. There are two sitting rooms both with smart TV's, and plenty of comfy seating. The kitchen equipment, pans, dishes, cutlery, mugs & glasses are plentiful. There is a large double electric oven with induction hob, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, huge double fridges, pull out freezer, 2 dishwashers & 2 sinks. The larder has a 3rd sink, chest freezer and fridge as well as more work top. The bedrooms are arranged over 3 floors (see floor plans on our website). 6 of the 8 bedrooms have en-suites, 2 share a large shower room. All bedrooms are very private and spacious. The 4 by 15 meter dining room offerers an utterly gorgeous space, with rows of trestle tables and pretty table cloths for up for about 45 or just 6 dining guests - both work beautifully and are easily set up.

Drift Barn is a beautiful property. It has a wonderful calmness about it which is complemented by the curated interior and the beautiful garden design. Amazing location for walking and exploring the Norfolk countryside. Very well equipped with excellent fridges & freezer for the largest icream, chilled wine and beer mad families. We loved everything about the place, amazing wild life everywhere. We were treated to owls calling during the night and pheasant strutting in the courtyard in the morning.

Wonderful, beautiful house with gorgeous gardens. Our family embarked on Alice's house for my mums 70th Birthday celebrations and we had such a levelly time in the house and surrounding areas. The house is set up for everyone - kids, animals, adults - everyone! The house itself is absolutely beautiful, all the beds comfy and so many bathrooms! There was a welcome hamper there when we arrived - Alice had thought of everything. We will definitely be back

Barn Drift is the epitome of lived in luxury. This is not a pristine and austere magazine spread - it is full of beautiful, tasteful, calming and cosy spaces (despite being enormous). There are special touches everywhere, from the architecture - my favorite is the long narrow window in the corridor with a view of trees beyond - to beautiful books and water carafes in the bedrooms. Our kids and dogs had a whale of a time exploring and playing in the never ending series of rooms and stairs, and the enormously stout doors and thick stone walls create almost sound proof spaces - perfect for blocking out the kids party while the adults were chatting. Alice is the perfect host. She is there immediately if you need her, but also leaves you to enjoy her beautiful property when you don’t. She ensured our ceremony went off without a hitch. I hope to be back for an anniversary, or just a family holiday, in the future.

Cley Next the Sea - where my family have been for four generations, has so much to offer. Not just glorious walks on the marsh and out to Blakeney Point, sailing and bird watching but some of the best pubs and restaurants in the county are found here. Since the 1980's Cley has been home to the award winning deli on the high street, Picnic Fayre stuffed full of all things delicious. The wonderful Cley Smoke House, Made in Cley pottery, Pink Foot art gallery, Artemis cafe, gifts and antiques, the second hand book shop as well. Cley Mill, The Three Swallows and The George and Dragon pub all run by warm and friendly locals. Hugging the coast line east and west of Cley are the equally charming villages of Salthouse, Blakeney, Morston and Stiffkey. All teaming with equally charming attractions - well worth a visit. The charming Georgian town of Holt is just three miles in land from Cley, with streets stuffed full of antique shops, bars restaurants, food halls and boutiques.
The nearest train station is Sheringham (about 20 minutes away) a slow local service from Norwich. Norwich and Kings Lynn train stations are both about an hour drive from Cley. There is the North Norfolk Coast Hopper bus (nearest bus stop outside the deli in Cley. There are masses of excellent local taxi services. Norwich has an international airport and there is safe space on the farm for a helicopter to land.
