Chris' place turned out to be perfect for our family. Each of the 4 cabins was quintessential Maine complete with moose or bear comforters and more than enough furniture to make us comfortable. The main house was fully stocked with any cooking and eating utensils you could possibly want as well as so many adult and kid games, books and arts and craft supplies. Honestly the photos do not do it justice. The kids (ages 6&3) loved canoeing over to the swimming area with one of the adults and there were plenty of life jackets provided. Be aware the road between the Cabins and the lake is a main route around the lake and can be noisy during the day although it tapered off at night. The closest major town is Bridgton about 9 miles away where there's an employee-owned market as well as Hannafords and that Maine icon, a Reny's. Also lobster rolls at the lobster pound that were fabulous! The town beach and playground in Bridgton are also worth checking out. We had a great time...

It was pouring rain when we arrived but everything was neat and ready for us. We found a welcome note and some pancake mix, Maine maple syrup and a Camp Konewago tote bag in the Main cabin on the dining table. The updated kitchen in the main cabin is great—very modern appliances. All of our guests were impressed with the large amount of space in the cabins. The only downside of the location is that traffic goes rather fast on the road between the camp and the lake. But this was made pretty clear in the description and reviews and we still all enjoyed the lake and the charming little trail down to the water. The dock was quite large and comfortable for several people to hang out on in the sun or bring chairs to sit. The lake had very little boat traffic all week. There is a lovely nearby little mountain to climb (Mt Tire’m) which we did more than once. The caretakers were responsive when cabin 3 had plumbing issues and it was fixed within a day. I would definitely stay again!

We were 4 families and 6 kids total and had a great time at Camp Konewago. As others have said, it’s rustic and the cabins are plenty bigger than we could have hoped. Some repairs to furniture/features would go a long way- overall, very glad we went!

We had many issues with our Airbnb rental. Chris was unresponsive to our messages. The host didn’t tell us we had to bring sheets, towels, paper towels toilet paper until 2 days before the trip after we had to send a message to ask and get Air BNB to ask. If I had to use a word to describe this venue it would be…disappointing. First, this is not a lake front location as described in the listing. It has some partial lake front, with only a dock for getting into and out of the water, but in order to get to the lake you have to go down a hard to walk trail and across a busy, numbered road that was very difficult with children. Second, some of the cabins are very…run down and neglected. Most of the windows don’t open or close, doors are broken and a very musty odor. The outside of the cabins were decrepit. We have had a huge problem with bugs inside the cabins including ants and huge spiders. I would go so far as to call it an infestation. Part of our group left early because of this. This facility is virtually not maintained! The trash from the last occupants wasn’t picked up so there was really no room to put ours. There was no refrigerator in one of the cabins and the manager allowed us to move one of the extra ones in there ourselves. The dryer broke (it had been recently repaired) and the manager told us to put up a clothes line. They told us that there would be a new dryer either the next day or the day after, and it never showed up. Overall, this location was certainly misrepresented and the conditions are entirely not up to the standards for which we paid. We would NEVER go back and in fact left a day early.

Our family had an awesome time!! Perfect place to celebrate the life of our dad! He would have loved it!! Your place was as described and we had plenty of space to spread out but spent most of the time at the main cabin for meals and socializing, etc. The lake was amazing and was actually warm so we spent a lot of time in the water. Minor issues were dealt with quickly. Thank you so much for sharing your place with us!!
