Mount Standfast is a nice community, not a resort experience, which is great. The beach is close and accessible and the house is very comfortable and spacious.

Had a fabulous time. House was in a lovely quiet residential area 5 mins to alleynes beach with a lovely cafe on serving great food. There are regular buses on the coastal road, the reggae ones especially are great fun. Restaurants I would recommend are SeaCat on road to Holetown and Zaccios. The house is really comfortable, bedrooms all have air conditioning, beds are comfy, main bedroom is huge with two balconies leading off from it where you can sit and watch the sun set. Showers were great too. Downstairs does get a bit hot as there is no air conditioning but there is a fan. The kitchen is well equipped but could do with a bit of an upgrade. It was nice to have a few essentials provided for us when we arrived. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio downstairs watching the birds and the monkeys. The house is on a big plot with plenty of space for parking a car. This was our second time in Barbados and we love it here, won’t hesitate to come again.

Amazing location, peaceful residential area, 5 min walk to the beach, amazing beach. The West coast and Holetown plus Alleynes Bay are amazing! Couldn’t wish for a better location and we’ve traveled all over Barbados.

Caroline and Jo were lovely hosts. The apartment wasn’t ready when we arrived, but they offered to take us for a meal until it was ready. The offered to take us to the supermarket also. The apartment is huge. Much bigger than I thought. The lounge kitchen is downstairs. There was food and drinks + wine in the fridge. The whole place is very tired and dated. The furniture is old fashioned. We were there for 8 weeks. It’s the first Airbnb I have been to that didn’t have a weekly cleaner. I asked Caroline and she arranged a cleaner after 3 weeks. Again after 6 weeks. Lots of little repairs required, there are two beautiful balconies upstairs, leading from the main bedroom. We spent every morning on. Changing to the downstairs balcony when it got hot. Upstairs you can see the sea. You can see the cruise liners at night. There are lots of visiting monkeys that sat next to us eating our bananas. There are 3 large bedrooms. The main bedroom is huge. There is one working tv.

We had a lovely stay here. Caroline and Joe met us on arrival and were very helpful throughout our stay. The welcome pack was much apricated as it meant we could have a nice lazy breakfast the next day. Location is excellent, short walk to beach and Lonestar, also felt very safe. House is good too, big bedrooms and bathrooms; everything you need in kitchen and nice outdoor areas too. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
