In addition to shopping, dining, and beaches, the Newport area offers a wealth of activities, including: the Newport Art Museum; tours of Historic Mansions, churches, and Truro Synagogue; the International Tennis Hall of Fame; the Cliff Walk; the Newport Dinner Train; the Museum of Yachting; the historic Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center.

We are less than a mile from the Plains Road Entrance to the URI Main Campus. 10 minutes by car to State & Town beaches in Narragansett and South Kingstown. Nearby Wakefield is home to All That Matters, and the South County Hospital. To our east is the URI Bay Campus. We are only 20 minutes from downtown Newport & Quonset Point.
The house is an easy 10 minute walk from the AMTRAK Kingston train station. The station is served by regional passenger trains, travelling between Washington and Boston, and by two local RIPTA bus routes. Ask us if you need route or schedule information. Our area is well served by UBER & Lyft!! Our location provides easy access to Matunuck Oyster Bar, Nordic Lodge, & Ocean Mist. We are centrally located between Sons of Liberty, Shaidzon, and TiIlted Barn. If you like to get outdoors, you’ll find the Great Swamp Management Area, the South County (O’Neil) Bike Path, Taylor’s Canoe Landing, and West Kingston Park all outside your door.
The bike path starts at the Train Station and goes to Wakefield & Narragansett. There is a direct connection to URI. It is about 7 miles, by bicycle, from our house to Narragansett Beach.
