The house was really nice with all the homely comforts you’d ask for. It’s set in a beautiful location and the hosts hospitality was outstanding. They provided a really nice selection of breakfast items many of which were from local suppliers. It was lovely having the wine and cheese board while sitting watching the platypus swim in the river below. We will definitely be back again.

What an amazing place for families to stay! My four kids loved it, plenty of space for us all, clean as a whistle, fridge super well stocked, heated spa, chickens, trampoline and a fully enclosed fence! Chris & Mel went above and beyond to help us out with everything we asked for. We will be back!

Wonderful getaway- just book it! Firstly, the photos do not do this place justice- it’s a beautiful sanctuary with peace and quiet right in the middle of the rainforest in Malanda. Mel and Chris are the most attentive hosts these seasoned travellers have come across- they are so attentive to your every need the whole time you are there, and have thought of absolutely everything you could need or want during your stay and provided it. The extra little touches were just wonderful also- tipped the trip over into unforgettable. The amenities and supplies are great- heated outdoor spa and pool in the rainforest, pool table and dart board, fire set up by the river, great patio areas, coffee maker, all the kitchen essentials and then some, and soooo much more. Book now- you won’t regret it! We spent the first night with just the two of us for a romantic night, and the second night we had some friends join us and I can confirm the accommodation is perfect for either couples or groups. I cannot rave about this place, or the hosts, enough; we will definitely be back!
