We planned to stay at the Chalfonte Hotel for an Autumn long weekend. Due to bad weather we arrived a day late, on Sunday. So the next couple of days were quiet, with fewer guests than you might have during summer or Friday/Sat night. The hotel is charming, with wrap around porches to sit outside. We chose a smaller guest room, and were happily surprised to find we had been upgraded to a room with a private bath. (Though seeing the hall baths, we would not have had any issues using them.) This is a historic building. Not everything is “perfect”, but has the character and patina one would expect. Our room was cozy and comfortable. We didn’t get a chance to visit the restaurant and bar there, but enjoyed the live music from the porch. The hotel has easy street parking and is a short walk to beaches, shops and restaurants. All interactions with hotel staff were positive. We will definitely return

Great historical place with a great location. I think we ended up with the last of the rooms, which maybe normally they wouldn't rent out. Trust me, this place is a great place to stay, it's just we ended up with not one of the most desireable rooms. The room was clean and bed and bedding were perfect, but the room had some issues. First, the sink in the room (not separate bathroom) constantly leaked, keeping us awake with the constant dripping. The handle on the sink was broken off, so not sure if that is why it kept leaking. I know they knew about it, as there was cleaning service everyday. Maybe it was just too difficult to fix at the time, but just constantly dripping and dripping and dripping. The only other issue with the room was that it was one of maybe 3 rooms that had huge fans right outside the windows. I imagine this is what supplied air to all the rooms, but it ran and ran and ran with a VERY loud humming and rumbling noise. We could not sleep any of the nights here.

Dillions place is wonderful lots to do . Very Charming for all age groups . Music all the time . It has a great restaurant on premise for breakfast and dinner . Nighttime teas, coffee in the morning. They have a variety of different style room. So much fun and relaxation all at the same time . All of this at a very reasonable rate. Pass it on The Chalfonte Hotel/ Cape May .

Easy check in and great location. If you’re looking for a no frills place just to sleep then I’d definitely recommend staying here. Booked our stay already for next 4th of July.
