Nice little room in a friendly casa in a good location. The room is not as big as the huge spaces we had in some casa particulares but it was still very comfortable. The roof terrace is a nice spot to relax in the evening. The location is good, in an interesting neighbourhood around 10 minutes walk from the centre of Santiago. The hosts were nice and very friendly and welcoming. We had breakfast and dinner at the casa and the food was excellent, as good as anything else you'll find in Santiago. Overall a great choice.

Erga and her families home was the best place we stayed in all of Cuba. It was a great stay and the perfect location. Her home was very well kept, beautiful, clean and organized. You get your own set of keys to come in and out of the house as you please. Erga and her husband helped us out with getting around the city, finding restaurants to eat at if we wanted to and giving us some really good local tips about getting good deals. The location was perfect because were directly in the middle between the Malecon and the city center. It was a 5 minute walk in either direction and both locations were filled with things for us to do, see and eat. Speaking of eating, Erga and her husband can COOK! We at the best meals we had ever had in all of CUBA at their home. The food is fresh, very well cooked and seasoned and you'll want more! The portions are filling. I'm a vegetarian so they accommodated me with lots of good veggies. My husband eats meat so they made him pork chops, chicken breast and some other tasty foods he really enjoyed! They have plenty of space and rooms. They also have a beautiful balcony with an amazing view of all of Santiago de Cuba. If you are visiting Santiago de Cuba DO NOT STAY AT THE CASA GRANDA! OR any other hotel there - you're getting ripped off at those hotels. Stay at Erga's home and get the low down on the city, eat really amazing food and really experience and enjoy this casa particular! My husband and I have stayed at many casa particulars and I have nothing negative to say about this one. Only good vibes here!
