By photos it gives an impression of having a private beach but it’s actually a passage to public beach as you see in the photos. Though the beach is less crowded but it’s not that much clean. Oh, also lots of dog and crows. Cottage is smaller than as shown in picture and all the fittings are local. The outside green area is also limited to what is shown in pics. There is no nearby restaurant, you have to travel 5 kms or use other resort restaurants (two more are there). Also you need to cross a cliff (with sea on other side) to reach the cottage. There is jo street light and night life after 9.30 pm Overall experience was okay but i felt i paid double the price for my stay. In INT 7.5k per day I can easily get a 4 star resort. Would also like to mention that there is a resort with similar name next to the cottages

Прекрасное тихое и очень красивое место, на берегу моря. На пляжах немного народу и очень спокойно и красиво. Есть ресторан, в котором готовят отличную еду. Персонал очень дружелюбный и приветливый.есть выбор номеров, коттедж отдельные и номера с видом на море. Лучшее место для отдыха в Варкале!

Wir waren insgesamt 6 Nächte in den Maadathil Cottages und es war mit einer der besten Unterkünftewelche wir in Indien hatten . Angefangen von der schnellen und Kommunikation während der Buchung bis hin zum perfekten Check In wo dir alle Details bei Whatts app zugeschickt werden ,bis hin zum Aufenthalt selbst ,wirklich alles Super organisiert. Die Mitarbeiter gabe einen das Gefühl wie zuhause ,sind alle super freundlich und organisieren wenn du einen Anliegen hast oder ein Fahrzeug mieten möchtest alles. Varkala selbst ist nicht mehr der Gehiemtipp welches er noch vor wenigen Jahren war ,der Ort sebst und insbesondere rund um die Cliffs ist doch sehr voll ,aber in den Maadathil Cottages am Odayam Beach ist man nicht mitten unter den ganzen leuten und hat dort Zeit zu entspannen. Das Restaurant kocht sehr gut und die Mitarbeiter sind professionell und ständig gut gelaunt so das man die Maadathil Cottages zu 100 Prozent weiterempfehlen kann. Weiter So ,ihr macht tolle Arbeit

We had a wonderful stay of nine days. Abi,Bonsi, Kishu and Aslam the manager made a great team. Their Hospitality was warm and sincere. They all helped us with a specific requests. When we come back we certainly come back to this wonderful lace. Thanks again for everything!

Absolutely fantastic stay. Was not there long but wished we had more time. All the staff on site are welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Beautiful location and views the perfect distance form Varkala cliff to be accessible but not too busy. Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a trip to Varkala.
