Me and 7 friends stayed here for blue ridge rock festival this year. Despite the festival being a total crap show and us only getting to enjoy 1 1/2 days of the festival, we got to enjoy this beautiful house. We had plenty of movies and game nights, as well as enjoying each others company by the lake. The view from the living room and kitchen area is amazing. Me and my friends agree our trip was saved because of where we stayed. Thank you Monique for opening up your home to us :)

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at Monique’s lake house! The interior’s nautical themes were spot on and the ambiance was warm and inviting. I especially loved the sunrises on the back deck with my coffee. If you’re lucky, like we were, you may spot the bald eagle that perches in a tall tree near the water. We love to cook and the kitchen was stocked with the essentials for any chef. Furniture was well-kept, comfortable, and practical. As mentioned in the home’s descriptions, the stairs to the front door and down to the dock may not be suitable for elderly of those with walking disabilities. Ditto for the interior’s circular stairs to the lower level. For the record, I’m over 60 and didn’t have any issues getting around. Our only hiccup with communication was Monique’s late response to my message about a toilet that wasn’t working. But these things happen and there were plenty of other bathrooms, so it wasn’t a big deal. I highly recommend vacationing at Monique’s lake house!

We had great time at Monique’s place. It’s peaceful with amazing views, we caught several big catfish, eel and even alligator gar. It was July 4 weekend, so Monique recommended to see firework at South Boston town 20 minutes away, the firework was fantastic, many food and drinks venders were there, a live band, a fantastic experience in a small town, thanks Monique for your recommendation.

We had a great 2nd stay at this lake home! We love coming to Buggs Island to fish, house has dock or beach for the boat! House is very clean and comfortable! Located in a great place near anything you would need. Great place to stay!

This beautiful cabin is located on the Roanoke River. It is a 2 story cabin with a beautiful deck view. The cabin has all the essentials you need for a multiple day stay. Clarksville is a 10 minute ride where you can find everything you need for the stay. There is great cell service in the area of the cabin. There is plenty of entertainment located throughout the cabin. The backyard is my favorite part of the cabin. There is a gazebo in the backyard midway to the dock. The shoreline is really relaxing, I love the boulders on the shoreline. During this stay I had the greatest surprise, a pair of Bald Eagles would arrive every evening and perch in the trees in the backyard. I would recommend this place to everyone.
