Kate was a very helpful host, on hand to answer any questions that we had. Cedar Lodge is a beautiful property and was ideally suited for our trip to the area. We would definitely go back there if visiting Portpatrick again
What a beautiful place. The lodge was fantastic and exactly what we wanted. Plenty of parking in a quiet road. Our host contacted us throughout to make sure that we had everything that we needed and was very quick to respond to our questions. The town was beautiful and the people very friendly. Would love to go back as we didn’t want to leave.

Cedar Lodge is a beautiful place to stay in Portpatrick. We were a party of 7 and there was plenty of room for us all. All the bedrooms were very comfortable and spacious and the fact that each one was en-suite was just perfect. The lodge has everything that is needed for a comfortable holiday, including homemade brownies, a welcome treat. Kate was a super host and made sure that we knew what to do at each step. We currently have three 4* holiday cottages on our Scottish country estate, near the sea in south west Scotland. In addition to restoring three cottages on the estate, we have a further house in the nearby pretty fishing village of Portpatrick plus an apartment in Edinburgh. We passionately believe in creating a new generation of cottages offering style, sophistication and comfort. Indifferent Scottish hospitality has had its day. We strive to offer a refreshing experience for guests. Most people head for the Highlands when they come to Scotland. We’re suggesting to visitors to think again and explore Dumfries and Galloway – it has everything that is the essence of Scotland – heather clad mountains, rolling hills, a beautiful coast line and pretty villages and it’s a lot closer and quicker to get to.
