We had a wonderful weekend! Saw beautiful native plants along the 5 miles we hike of the Mountain to Sea trail. The access is right behind the property. Grilled out and enjoyed the beautiful weather/surroundings. The next day we did a 7 mile canoe float down the New River with New River Outfitters what a great experience. Then we samples some wines at the Thistle Meadow Winery. We made it home and cooked out before the rain set in. That evening, before heading to bed, we watch the fireflies! I love the coziness of the house and how beautiful the surroundings are. We saw so much beautiful nature and it was a great way to spend the weekend. It’s our second visit to this place and I hope we can come again next year!

My family and I had a great extended weekend at Sadie’s Place. Debbie was a great communicator, and we had no issues checking in/out. Before arriving, we received a detailed list of everything that was provided. This place is in an incredible location. It is a very peaceful/beautiful property only yards away from the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are a few state parks minutes away; along with, restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. We really enjoyed the creek, the fire pit, and the view of the sunset. We will definitely be making a trip back, and I recommend it to anyone.

We felt so at home. Everything we needed was there. Love the pedestal tub. The great room had warmth and character. The outside and the creek couldn’t have been more pleasing. Would love to come back again.

“Staying at Sadie’s place was like a delightful time travel experience . If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind. This is it! We loved the older home , the hardwood floors, the retro appliances and especially the cozy attic room. I wanted to stay there longer and read some of the books provided. It almost felt like we were living in the 1920s. The bathtub/shower was a little tricky for us , but we managed. Even so, you still will have access to modern TV and Wi-Fi. The surrounding acreage and walking trails and soothing creek are an added bonus . I really hope to go back in warmer weather to experience everything that is offered outside. Debbie was a wonderful communicator- I give Sadie’s Place five stars. “

Debbie was awesome and the house was super cozy. Temps were a real feel of -15 with snow on the ground and we stayed warm!
