This house is so perfect!! The house has everything you need and it has the best sunset views we could ever ask for. The last sunset we had matched what we saw in Santorini. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, the living room couch is so big and comfy, the master bedroom bed is huge and comfy, the showers had hot water, the internet worked great, the pool felt amazing, the view is beautiful, it’s very very private, no one is around or can see into the airbnb, the house has American plugs all around, tvs in every room and a great pool table. The house is better than the pictures, the views and sunsets are to die for. We actually barely left the house. It’s so comfortable and big and perfect. By the way there was only 2 of us. Now it is very secluded. Barely any houses nearby, if there are houses then most are just being built, it’s in the hills and jungle so no restaurants or shops to walk to. What made us feel secure was the on premise security guard. That made us feel safe.

We are a family of six. Children range in age from 10 to 19. It was our first time visiting the beautiful island of Saint Lucia. We opted to rent a car. We would recommend this as most of the popular areas to visit are 45 minutes to over an hour from the house. We had a wonderful time exploring, visiting beaches, snorkeling, and experiencing the local cuisine. La Gampierre has amazing views. The house is stocked with all necessary items. The bedrooms are spacious and inviting. We loved the sunsets. It is a very nice property that offered personal security. Lucy was very quick to respond back to our inquiries. She was always gracious and kind. We chartered a boat that was set up through her and it was a highlight of our trip. Lunch was prepared and served on a beautiful beach. We enjoyed a very relaxing, fun-filled day. Highly recommend it. A few things to consider. Two of the bedrooms are separate from the main part of the house. Private entrance. It was a little unsettling to have the kids in that space as it isn’t connected to the main part of the house. The main house has two bedrooms. These two rooms are separated by two flights of stairs. Something to consider if traveling with kids. We did not have hot water during our stay. We opted for boiling water to wash dishes and I was very tempted to fill the kitchen sink with boiled water and take a bath haha! The house does have a dishwasher, but it never worked for us. We did follow the recommendations of showering during the heat of the day, but unfortunately this did not provide us with hot water. Our group found the lack of hot water to be frustrating. We felt guilty as the frustration made us feel like spoiled Americans, but it is very hard to shave, wash long hair with cold water when you aren’t accustomed to it. We learned that this is common for this property as they are set up to collect rain water that is heated by solar. The idea is nice, but letting water run for such a long time for hot water as suggested seemed very wasteful. The end result was always the same….no hot water. We really think the possibility of not having hot water during your stay should be disclosed in the rental description so that guests can make an informed decision before opting to rent this property. Be forewarned, this property has hot water issues that will possibly affect your stay. What you will get, is beautiful views, spaciousness, a lovely house manager, comfy beds, and wonderful memories exploring beautiful Saint Lucia.

The house is better than the pictures shown online... the host Lucy is great and makes sure that you are well taken care of. There were minor issues that Lucy took care of expeditiously and made us feel comfortable.

Pictures don't do justice. This is an amazing home with everything you could ever need. It is very comfortable, private, and secure. I honestly can't wait to go back!
