Matheson Lake is minutes away and a popular spot to hike and swim. The Galloping Goose Trail connects from the parking lot and you can bike to Sooke and as far as historic Leechtown.
Walk or drive to Pedder Bay Marina and grab a Starbucks coffee and enjoy a stroll along the docks where you will see various birds and sea life. Power boat and kayak rentals are available as well as fishing charters for hire.
During the warmer months the community of Metchosin holds farmers markets, craft fairs, art shows and festivals that are always fun to check out.

Metchosin has a small town core where you will find a general store, a cozy coffee shop, town hall, horse back riding ring, community house and best of all the MyChosen Cafe! This restaurant is well worth the visit! Eat in or have their pizza kitchen deliver the best pizza in town!

Public transit is around a 20 minute walk from the property but taxi services operate frequently in the area. Transportation to and from the airport and ferry terminal can be arranged by your host.
The space also has a highchair, baby gate and pop up crib.
