- The location is handy - The hot tub is heated upon arrival which is often not the case. It's also always at a good temperature and with no smell of chemicals which is also often the case. - Garden nice and secure for a dog - The house is very clean - It does not feel like a well used rental, everything is in good condition - Kitchen is very well stocked and great for cooking - Utility & Drying room with fire very useful for drying / storing walking equipment in wet weather - TV has lots of apps for watching - WIFI signal is good - Woodburner and logs / coal provided is v good - The house feels a lot bigger than it is and had plenty of space for us ( 4 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog) - Hidden darts room kept the kids happy - Beds are v comfy - There are a lot of signs for do's and dont's, there are a lot in the surrounding countryside too - The check in time is a bit late and the check out a bit early for the price - Would return and recommend

Weathercock cottage was absolutely amazing. We couldn’t have wanted for more. We were provided with plenty of recommendations of places to visit and we were very grateful for the map provided for a safe route to the pub/restaurants in Sedbergh. We loved the hot tub! And the Queen bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable. Most of all we really enjoyed the cosy log burners. The one just off the utility room was amazing for helping to dry clothes off after some very soggy walks.

The cottage was as described and very homely. Its on a busy road, so not ideal for walking straight into Sedbergh. But there are other quieter ways to get into the town. It was a bit cold when we arrived, but the heating soon kicked in. Just takes a little while to heat up, but we went in Feb and it was freezing cold. Not a lot of cupboard space to put your on food in, but this was mentioned in the previous descriptions and wasn't an issue for us. Hottub was amazing and a real benefit to the property. Really enjoyed our stay and felt thoroughly relaxed.

Great place to stay if you want to be away from everything but with only a short drive up the road to the lovely village of sedbergh, All the amenities you could wish for in the cottage, cozy welcoming feel & decorated beautifully, the main bedroom mattress pillows and duvet were amazing .. great nights sleep, hot tub was a bonus didn’t get chance to use too much due to the weather … that was our choice tho, Up the road in Sedbergh they have a late opening spar and lots of pubs / restaurants, we ate at black bull & red lion , black bull had some very different menu options but also mixed with very well done pub food would recommend as would red lion for traditional pub food.
