We spent wonderful 5 days in Arnold's cottage, and everything was perfect, the place, the view, the dolphins swimming along the shore every morning. The place is spacious, big enough for 8 people, big, fully equiped kitchen ( and we love cooking ) cosy sitting room and two fire places. It has 4 bedrooms and sits just by the tiny harbour of Portknockie where you can watch the boats, dolphins or the most beautiful sunsets, sitting on the terrace in front of the house. Its perfect location allowes you to take coastal walks to Cullen or in the opposite direction to picturesque Findochty. And of course the most famous rock in Scotland - Bow Fiddle Rock is just around the corner from the house. Couldn't reccomend it enough. Perfect. Thank you, Arnold

The worse part about this stay.... saying 'Goodbye'. The accommodation is really top notch in terms of furnishings, fixtures & fittings. Very warm and comfortable and perfect to return back to each evening after a day of exploring the beautiful local area. Very spacious (well there was only two of us rattling around, plus two dogs!) Amazing view from the bedroom of the harbour below. My eyes almost popped out one morning when pulling up the blinds, I noticed a HUGE pod of dolphins feeding and passing just off-shore. Truly amazing. Arnold & Dawn are fantastic hosts and so helpful. We even enjoyed an evening in the local hotel with them 'spinning the yarn', very interesting couple & great company. HIGHLY recommend you book 17 Harbour Place, Portknockie!!

Our stay couldn't have been nicer. The house is so nicely renovated and decorated and has a wonderful view to wake up to and the walk along to Fiddle Rock is magnificent. Arnie kept in touch with us during our stay to give tips and ideas and the local community was so friendly to us when we were out and about, we felt very welcome.

Lovely house,stayed here for Christmas and loved the christmas trees already decorated for our arrival. House was spotless and well equipped. Lovely views too. Would stay here again
