Upstairs was great, bed linen and towels spotless. Downstairs requires deep clean and maintenance. Appliances were good, however kitchen utensils, pots, pans etc were need of replacement. Lights in the majority of rooms need new bulbs and outdoor area could do with a jet wash. We had an issue which we reported to Steven and he responded promptly and efficiently followed up. Information folder could do with updating and we had to purchase cleaning products and hand wash for our stay despite the website stating these would be provided. Location was good to pop over to Keswick and we also visited Lake District Wildlife Park as well as the Aquarium and Roman Museum in Maryport. Local chippy and The Lifeboat Inn were hidden gems with great food.

Great family house for our family of 6. Large kitchen with space for everyone to sit at the table. Comfy , homely living room. Large bathroom with shower, bath and lovely new, clean, thick towels. Utility room with washer and dishwasher. Drier available in kitchen area. All bed linen was spotless and comfortable. Top bedroom is a pleasure to sleep in, spacious with a velux window, new carpet and furniture. This house has steep stairs so not suitable for those needing level access to bedrooms. Parking on the street is free and we could always find a spot close by. TV in living room is great- could log in to Netflix and has a DVD player. Heating easy to turn on and off. Close to the Lake District, West Cumbrian attractions and Carlisle. Recommend a drive and tour to the Honister Slate Mine and Walby Farm Park for indoor activities with kids within an hours drive. The house was a home from home and we would stay again.

Prima slaapplek, maar het huis mist "een ziel". Het huis heeft potentie, maar zou floreren met wat meer aandacht en liefde.
