Booked for a 5-day vacation. Unfortunately with no hot water upon arrival and only being slightly warm the remainder of the time, the showers have no pressure, and the water being cut off half way through the trip (unknown reason) the experience overall was a 2.3 out of 5. The lot manager “Alan” was spectacular, honest and very attentive to our needs. The house is listed as “entire home” but it in fact is shared with the Host so do not expect to be alone, they will stay in the other bedroom that they referred to as an apartment. The kitchenette and wet bar consisted of a microwave. Alan will bring you fresh coconut water and produce from the trees on the lot which was wonderful. The host acted as a bit of a tour guide but only to places they wanted to go. For the price paid and to be so surprised by the many obstacles I was faced with i felt the experience could’ve been better. Overall will not return but grateful for the experience.

The home looked exactly the photos. The location was further away from Mobay than we expected. Thus, costing us extra money for travel (taxi). Their driver transported is and from the airport (30-35 minutes). He very courteous and professional. Alan is the keeper of the home whom, also, provided the pre-purchased meals. Although the meals delicious, none of them were hot. You must provide own beverages even water because he didn't have anything other than coffee and hot tea. There is AC in the bedrooms ONLY! We didn't have any hot water the first night. Repairs were made the next day. Don't expect a real shower because the water only trickles a bit. They provide free wifi that did not work at all in my room (room with pool/ocean view). Therefore, the television didn't work my entire stay. Alan tried hard to get it working. Light laundry advertised but not provided. Even though there were a few hiccups, I would definitely give this peaceful home another try.

A great place to stay if you want a less curated and more local experience than at a hotel. The caretaker, Alan, is lovely and made us coffee in the morning. The view from this house is absolutely amazing - it's located in the hills above Montego Bay and the pool has a view out over brilliant green palms and the ocean. We had fresh coconuts from the trees on the property - amazing!! Everything was spotlessly clean when we arrived.

What a view! Joys home is beautiful, set on top of a hill overlooking the ocean surrounded by trees and birds. You can see the sunrise and sunset. The space is well appointed with extremely comfortable beds and linens. Having Alan on property to cook and get fresh “jelly” (coconuts) from the trees on site was a highlight. The villa is a short drive outside the hustle of Montego Bay, and close enough to enjoy the nearby beaches, nightlife, and entertainment in the town if you wish. You may not want to leave :) A short drive down the hill you will find pineapple beach, a lovely spot to grab a drink and relax on weekends/evenings. Joy was easy to work with, and arranged a driver to take us around during our stay. This place is a gem, can’t wait to go back.

Had an awesome stay at Joy's place. Unlike the cliché, it truly felt like a "home away from home". Joy was very helpful in providing the necessary details before our travel even began, even went so far as feeding us dinner knowing that we went through a long flight delay and arrived late in the night. What you see in the photos posted on the Airbnb is what you get from the view, pool and rooms perspective (obviously it is gorgeous), but what the photos don't tell you is the hospitality and an amazing level of care you would receive from the host and the local staff. Well, if I or my family is ever to go back to Montego Bay again, we know for certain, we will be staying at Joy's place. Being picked up from the airport late in the night was the cherry on top! A heartfelt thank you from myself and on behalf of my family.
