The front door was problematic, there was not a code but used a key. We had 3 guests with one key. The host did not respond to our request for another key. The unit is in need of TLC in several areas.

This unit needs major repairs and maintenance. The pictures do not reflect its current condition. There is a septic smell from the bathrooms and washing machine. The fitted sheet on the mattress did not fit and would come off revealing huge brown stains, all the mattresses had stains. Mattresses also bowed causing you to roll into the middle, they’re worn and uncomfortable. The refrigerator, leaked water, and the ice machine did not work, most of the drawers are broken and furniture is warped from humidity. The TVs do not have any cable service or smart features so they don’t work. The unit smells musty and appears neglected. I want to be clear these complaints are specific to this unit, not the building or other units. I have stayed in other units of this building and they were amazing and up to date. I only tried this unit bc my dates were unavailable at the previous unit of the 9th floor. The building common areas are well kept and clean, building is well located.

This was a last minute reservation that was Cancelled 10 hours after making it. *We missed our flight because of the terrible weather in NY and couldn’t justify going to Costa Rica for only a day. We try to appeal to the host and tried to get some money back but they said it have strict cancellation policies. I am host myself but I find the unwillingness to at lease return one day unfair. We lost the reservation $$$. We should it have 24hrs to cancel.

Beautiful building, great pool and sunsets. Karina at Vacasa is the best - she helped us also book shuttles and activities - she really took good care of us throughout our stay and beyond

We really enjoyed our stay in Jaco. The unit is very spacious and perfect for our family of 6. Vacasa was very responsive when we reached out.
