Peter and Gwyneth are wonderful hosts, so helpful and attentive without being intrusive. The photos don't do the Red Oak Barn justice: quirky, spacious and comfortable, everything has been lovingly created, with the bonus of the beautiful secure garden. We enjoyed walks in the nearby forest, and the dogs loved swimming in Linford Brook. By time we left it felt like Peter and Gwyneth were friends rather than hosts 😊

We had a wonderful stay at the barn. The location is great, close to beaches and only 12 min drive to Moors Valley Park; we were able to do so many things over the 2 days due to barn close proximity to attractions. The barn itself is like a museum , everywhere you look , you find details and things to talk about . Gwyneth and Peter are lovely hosts and would like to thank them again for everything. If you plan to visit New Forest, this is the place to stay, highly recommend it.

We had a very enjoyable Easter break at the Red Oak barn - from the moment we arrived we were well taken care off. Peter and Gwyneth were excellent hosts providing us with many great ideas of places to go for walks as well as pub and restaurant recommendations. The location works incredibly well as a base to explore all that the New Forest has to offer and we wished we had booked for longer at the end of our stay. Thanks again for a wonderful mini break.

Fantastic helpful hosts. Everything you could possibly think of was in the accommodation. Peaceful and cosy. Would definitely return, highly recommend.

Peter and Gwyneth were fab hosts (again) and were able to help with any requests that we had in a moments notice. The barn is well equipped and all the little details around the place make for a lovely stay. The wood burner provides a great center piece to family time on a rainy day. The surrounding new forest needs no introduction, but the ponies, the beach, the walks and the selection of local pubs provided fun for us all. Would definitely recommend!
