Located in 45 acres of forest at the end of a long ancient tree lined drive is located this original small farmhouse. Going back in time, most original features have been maintained.while still offering the convenience of modern living the atmosphere and comfort of the past has been preserved. There are no lawns or gardens,no tarmacadam or cultivation, just nature, undisturbed and wild. Our position on a hill offers great views walks, historic sites,quarry lake, bronzeage cairn, riding stables This is what it means to go green. There is a seperate stables private and to the rear offering another rental for couples.

very nice relaxing cottage, and I tired to book last minute and rebecka was available to take the booking and have the place ready for me, Great place to switch off and escape.
underestimated place from photos! when we arrive there was totally more beautiful than the photos! great place to stay and relax for a weekend! really really amazing place! recommended for couples and families!
It is perfect for a peaceful few days away, with beautiful walk trails surrounding the area, and not too far from the centre which was great to go in the evening. i would definitely stay again

We loved our stay in this old farmhouse, it was so peaceful and relaxed. The house is quirky with lots of character, but really comfortable with a wood burner and good beds. We had a great, chilled-out stay here. Highly recommend!

Blackstair mountains , barrow river walks , boat trips to saltee islands and very many beaches along the sunny southeast coast.
If you like it natural and green with seclusion and solitude this is for you.
If you want activity ,dining out,pubs and nightlife it is only 10 min away in town.
Car essential,taxi 20euro to town.
Open thread steep stairs similar to attic stairs may be unsuitable for elderly or anyone with mobility issues.
Not suitable for infants of crawling age or above.
