We had a wonderful stay at Scar Bridge Cottage, a lovely location, extremely peaceful and relaxing; just what we needed. The space worked wonderfully for our family. The house had all the amenities and the kitchen had everything you needed, we just had to buy food 😁. The outdoor space was just as delightful. Our girls loved the garden and being able to play around the stream. The location is handy to get about and explore all the sights within this area of Ireland. The Irish are a wonderful people and we will be back. Communication from our host Kate throughout was exceptional, right from the minute we booked, as well as throughout our stay and after our holiday. A real pleasure!

Thank you for sharing your cosy cottage with us and all the recommendations, especially Marry Barrys and Rathangan Pub - both of which offer excellent food and a very handy bus pick up/ drop off service. We all loved the cottage, its cosiness and beautiful garden made us feel right at home. The kids loved the garden and the river while the adults enjoyed the evening chats beside the fire. We had a wonderful stay and will no doubt return again. Thanks again Kate

We had a lovely stay at Kate’s cozy cottage! The grounds were lovely, the house was clean and well-stocked, and Kate was an excellent and communicative host. It felt like staying at your grandmother’s house— lots of cute touches and very welcoming. We had no issues with the WiFi, and although the door in the sunroom isn’t fixed yet, we really enjoyed the other available outdoor space. Our dog loved the big field and orchard, and we all loved the tire swing! I couldn’t recommend this property more :)

We have just returned from a week in this beautiful cottage. We are a family with 3 children and our dog. We just adored our holiday here. Such a charming cottage with lots of personal touches. Lots of space for our children and dog to room safely. The stream is such a lovely addition, we spent a lot of time “fishing”. The weather was very wet during the week we stayed here but it didn’t dampen our trip. We brought wellies and gear and we just got out and enjoyed it. The cottage is so cosy and warm that we could relax and enjoy some quiet time later. The cottage is well equipped and the WiFi connection was great and allowed my husband to work during the week. We will definitely stay again. Kate is a lovely host, so helpful and sent us great ideas for activities and restaurants around.

Wow! A lovely and cozy cottage and ideal place to wind down. It’s got a huge garden and my toddler just loved to throw pebbles into the stream. Kate was super nice, helpful and always replied to questions within a minute or so. There is also a bunch of interesting stuff around, within 30 mins or less by car. Without a car, there’s nowhere you can go but you could order from a supermarket and just relax here. Again: ideal place for that! Would come back any time!
