Dear Mountain Cottage surely delivered as the perfect house for an extended weekend in the Poconos. Check-in is a breeze with keycode and clear welcome instructions from Luke & Lena. This includes the binder that walks you through everything in the home, recommendations and important stay/check-out instructions (garbage cannot be stored outside). Peaceful and private neighborhood. Accessible stores nearby for supplies (Dollar General is close and carries groceries) Home itself is impeccable. Nicely laid out with a well-designed motife. Great heat and fireplace. Master bedroom with king bed is downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs with jack and Jill bathroom (+killer loft). Kitchen was well stocked with the necessary utensils and ample dishware. There is a standard coffee machine so be sure to bring your own ground coffee (they have a coffee bean grinder). Luke & Lena were very accommodating and flexible upon checkout due to a medical delay. Can't thank them enough and will be back!

It was a pleasure to stay at Luke and Lena's. The space is spacious, extremely clean, and beautifully designed. My daughter loved that she could watch her own shows upstairs, while we enjoyed ours downstairs. It was a quick drive to skiing/tubing, and a family of deer were in regular attendance just outside the window. We found everything we needed to cook (with excellent knives!) in the kitchen. Luke and Lena prepared detailed recommendations and clear instructions in their leather binder, and were attentive and friendly communicators. My husband and I lived a decade in the Pacific Northwest, and this tranquil space was a glimpse back there!

Deer Mountain Cottage was an amazing find for a “Friends-Christmas” getaway. Luke and Lena are truly superhosts! Their home in the Poconos was so charming, beautifully decorated for the holidays, and stocked with all the amenities one could hope for with a house rental. Their home was 100% exactly as described and shown on the AirBnB site. From the prompt, detailed, and friendly communication to ensuring the kitchen has everything to prepare and serve gourmet meals, it’s apparent Luke and Lena go above and beyond to ensure their guests have an exceptional experience. We appreciated the information (brochures, notes, instructions) they provided in a binder, the welcome gift of wine, all the cozy furnishings and fireplace, and the games and books around the house. Luke and Lena have thought of everything when it comes to staying in a home in the Poconos and this is a place we would happily return to in the future.

We had a great long weekend away from NYC at the Deer Mountain Cottage! We booked last minute and Luke and Lena were very responsive and helpful with making sure we had what we needed for a day of booking. The house was terrific, great for a relaxing weekend away from the city and close to several nearby trails and restaurants. We enjoyed heading to Jim Thorpe for dinners just ~20 minute drive away. Would definitely stay again!

Thank you Luke for your beautiful and clean home. This was our first time staying at an airbnb and you have set the bar high. We traveled with our dog and 20 month old daughter and really had such a nice time. Our main reason for staying here was to visit the town of Jim Thorpe. It was about 20 minutes away and was an easy drive. We did the drive twice saturday and sunday as we didnt want to leave our dog alone all day. And the distance wasnt bad at all! Thank you for the recommendation to eat at Stone Row! It was delicious. My daughter loved the toys and your coasters. She played with them all weekend lol. The linens were all very clean, and the king size bed was very comfortable! We spent all our time downstairs, but the upstairs was very nice as well. The kitchen is well stocked with everything. You need it, it is there! You have literally thought of everything. Thank you again! This trip was 1 for the books.
