Luxury two bedroom Cottage, in the grounds of a converted Benedictine Monastery, set in 20 acres of private gardens on the shores of Loch Ness. In the heart of the Highlands, this sympathetic conversion is has a magnificent setting, with views overlooking the Abbey Church from its terrace. All facilities are included in the cost of the holiday. This cottage allows up to two dogs. The bedrooms are comfortable with high quality mattresses and bedding to make your holiday truly restful. This cottage offers two good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. Tastefully decorated with stylish furnishings and high specification fittings promise to make your stay memorable. The bright and spacious open plan living area has large patio doors leading out onto a terrace; there is also a wood burning stove to provide a cosy atmosphere during those Scottish evenings. The Highland Club is situated within 2 minutes walk from the centre of Fort Augustus. Amenities include a number of local pubs/restaurants, local supermarket and a variety of gift shops. There is a 9 hole golf course, Tourist Information Centre and many local attractions and beautiful walks without the need to drive if you prefer.

Thank you. It is a wonderfully unexpected stopover to the highland. You got lake and small town feel. If you only have 2 days in highland. This is probably the best place to stay. Thank you.

The facilities and surroundings are absolutely stunning. The cottage was quaint, the communal building (with pool and lounge) were gorgeous, and Loch Ness was a 2 minute walk, which we did a few times to just soak in its beauty.

The location allows traffic free access to Aonach Mor ski area during the winter months and year round access to the Highlands and all the local outdoor/adventure sports. The beautiful beaches of the West Coast of Scotland can be found about an hour away with easy access to Isle of Skye across the new bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh. To the East there are several beaches in the Dornoch/Black Isle area. Whisky Distilleries are in all directions, while for the children, the Hogwarts Express is a train that runs along the valley where Harry Potter was filmed. The nearby ruins of Urquhart Castle, Cawdor Castle and the world famous Eilean Donan Castle are all within an hour's drive. Not forgetting the Loch Ness Visitor's Centre and the monster itself....

You can catch a bus (11 or 5A) into the centre of Inverness and then catch a local bus (513) towards Fort Williams, alighting at Fort Augustus near the fish and chip shop.
