Overall, this property is a great place to stay. It feels authentic, rather than a run-of-the-mill condo. The deck outside of both upstairs main bedrooms is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy a view of the ocean, and listen to the birds sing. The unit was very clean and Antonio was flexible about arrival times. The property does require some on-going love & care. There is rust in the showers, presumably from cast-iron tubs. The grout could use some cleaning, and a couple tubes of silicone caulk here and there would improve appearances. The front door of the refrigerator is rusted, but the refrigerator itself was clean and worked well. Previous guests had spilled something in the microwave. We washed the turntable, but could not get the baked-on residue out of the bottom of the appliance. Just a few small things could make this place perfect. We still recommend it and, if you can get past these small surprises, you will be very happy with your stay. We would stay again.

We had a fabulous vacation! Antonio was very accommodating and understanding when we had problems finding the location. The GPS led us astray. The house was perfect for us. The view is unbeatable and the location was perfect for day tripping.

Just the two of us stayed in the Atlantic House and it was perfect for us, very central to driving around the island and to all the hiking trails and restaurants, as well as a large grocery store. Antonio was flexible and very gracious. The first day we got locked out of the back gate because the lock was broken and Antonio came within 10 minutes to help us and his carpenter to fixed the lock. The views are gorgeous and we spent a lot of our time on the terrace. The house itself is charming and quite old - although there are 4 bedrooms, the living room area is not that big. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would stay there again.

It’s a lovely place and was very comfortable for two couples. It has plenty of room to spread out and the view of the Atlantic was mesmerizing. Unfortunately, we had some bad weather (rainy, windy, and chilly) but the dining room table was a great place to play many hours of dominoes. Since we had been traveling for several weeks already, we appreciated the laundry facilities. We had misjudged the location and had not rented a car. Since this property is not within walking distance of the main city, and we wanted maximum flexibility for travel around the island, a car was necessary. It was easy to get a car the day after we arrived. The house has a private parking space behind a locked gate to the front of the house, which was ideal. The house is located within walking distance of some very good local restaurants.

A casa fica localizada num pequeno paraíso de Lagos ( S. Miguel). Jardins bem cuidados, tinha tudo o que precisávamos para a nossa estadia. O anfitrião sempre prestativo e comunicativo, foi uma estadia muito boa. Recomendo.
