The pictures do not match the actual House. It is the house but has been let go as far as decoration and maintenance. There aren’t any curtains anywhere, we had to dig out towels from a dirty pile of clothes in a closet and wash them , very bad mice problem from the lower level to the top so we also washed our bedding. Bathrooms weren’t cleaned actually nothing was cleaned other than the beds were made which we stripped anyway. And the owner was there when we got there to “clean” because he was running late that day, but to have a cleaning fee and the amount of money we paid for the 2 nights was not justified at all. I did communicate with host about my concerns before I decided to publish this but not even the cleaning fee was offered as a refund since we had to clean everything just to stay there. We also set mouse traps ourself because they come out on the counter while your all sitting there playing cards. I will say Chad the host didn’t know the extent of the problem I believe

Not enough bedding or towels! Dead and live mice! No trash can in kitchen. The refrigerator was full !! Totally unacceptable!

Absolutely stunning views from all windows. A beautiful home. As an AirBnB it needs more basic amenities e.g. bathroom trash cans, adequate paper products, plus hand towels. An AC unit is needed for the upstairs as one window unit downstairs is not enough. There was a power outage during our stay and an emergency lantern and info sheet on who to contact would of been appreciated. A notebook with information regarding the area, house and property would of been nice.

The road to the house was long, washed away, had huge craters. A heads up on the quality of the road would have been nice. I understand that Michigan’s ground can be difficult to maintain. The house was stunning and had an amazing view. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. We found hair in the bedsheets which made us wonder if they were even washed. We ended up washing them the first night. The fridge was full of food that would rotten and we cleaned the kitchen upon arrival. There were Mouse droppings on the stove top. The office had broken glass in the carpet which is dangerous for anyone especially with a little one running around. There were items left in the house that I was very surprised left in the open such as a part of a bong & shotgun shells. Seemed like they threw a bunch of personal belongings in corners of the rooms. It was very unlike any Airbnb that I’ve ever stayed in and we were very disappointed. The house itself was amazing just needs cared for.

Great place with a lot of space. Very cool property and close proximity to the river.
