I could gush about the Hoolet Bothy for days! Kate is the sweetest and most accommodating host, and thought of everything we could possibly need, including farm-fresh honey and a good stock of things like oats, hot chocolate, etc. The walk to the bothy is beautiful, and so are the trails to longer stretches of hill/mountain views just behind it. We found it very rewarding to use the Rayburn to cook and fill the hot water tank, and the nice, deep tub was such a luxury. The bothy lit by candles at night is magical and the bed is very comfortable. We loved hearing the cuckoos and guinea fowl around the property, and the babbling streams (that I think are seasonal) as we walked up to the bothy. The town of Beauly is also charming and we loved visiting Campbell's, Old School Beauly, and the Corner on the Square. I miss the bothy already--it brought me back to childhood trips to my grandparent's cabin and enjoying tranquility and the simple things in life.

Honestly couldn’t ask for more from Kate’s space and its surroundings. It had panoramic views that went on forever that was accompanied by continuous birdsong…so many birds! Fantastic walks straight from the door that put you immediately into the countryside where we sat and watched a pair of Red Kites put on a show and dance just for the two of us. Observed herds of deer grazing across the hillsides, listened to the water cascading down the rocks and were left to enjoy all the space to ourselves. Kate’s Bothy was beautiful, both the fire and the Rayburn were lit upon our arrival and we instantly felt at home, there were plenty of logs as well to keep us going for our entire stay…Kate was super helpful with explaining how to use the Rayburn too. We can honestly say that we haven’t rested that well in a very long time. The extra little touches that came with our stay were both tasty and really good fun too. I strongly recommend Kate’s place if you love nature, walking and a wood fire

We had a wonderful stay at Kate's beautiful serene bothy. It is exactly like the photos. We were so pleased to have had a chance to stay here. Thank you, Kate, for being a great host friendly, attentive, and also providing privacy. We hope to stay again in the future! Jasmine & Paul

We really enjoyed our stay in the Hoolet bothy :) Kate’s put so much love into this place and you can feel it as soon as you step inside with all of the beautiful touches and attention to detail. We had fun walking around the property and had some cute wee cow visitors stop by in front of the bothy one afternoon as well as keeping an eye and ear out for deer and stags. Cannot thank Kate enough, just beautiful.
