Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Our Yellow Door Cabin is a converted 1970s retro bus, with a floating A-frame loft above. It is complete with a kitchenette and bathroom, reading nook, a king bed downstairs, and a master king bedroom upstairs in the vaulted A-frame loft. With intimately crafted interior spaces, the Yellow Door cabin hosts a large outdoor covered deck, with a grill for spending more time outdoors.
We had a wonderful stay. The views were great as well. I enjoyed how intimate the setting is since it’s a smaller house. The fridge didn’t work when we were there but the hosts were responsive. They even offered an alternative till the end of our stay. I would come again!
Salted Roots is 3 miles south of downtown, located on Beach Drive of Lowell Point. It is a beachfront property located in a quiet, forested neighborhood. This property is remote without being remote. Close to the kayak, fishing, and water activity launch point. Walking distance from the Tonsina Beach hiking trailhead and the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park.

自我介绍
We met in San Diego and have always been drawn to salt water. We left in exploration of more things wild: mountains to climb, waters to kayak, trails to run, perspectives to encounter. We spent 3 years on the road, living out of our car and exploring North America’s public lands and communities, stumbling upon spaces, places, and people who inspired us and ultimately sharpened the pencil that created Salted Roots. Seward won our hearts, with mountains, the ocean, and a national park right in our backyard. Alaska is wild - wild enough for us vagabonds to settle down roots… and then naturally the idea for Salted Roots sprouted. We bought the land in 2017, were married there shortly after, and began throwing together our future plans for the project with close friends. Our community helped us clear the land, build these cabins, and make our vision a reality. Matt comes from 18+ years of high-end hospitality and Kellyann is a 500 hr certified yoga teacher and business manager.
