The location is fantastic as long as you realize it's not walking distance to downtown Seward. Super easy to get an uber or taxi. Michelle (the owner) is wonderful. She picked us up from the train and even lent me a rain jacket while we waited for another party to bring us our luggage. Back to the location ... it's right there on the beach. The place is loaded with eagles. There is a fantastic heated deck to watch the boats come and go. Very private. The Beach Barn itself is well appointed. Kitchen has almost everything you need. Shower is big. It is clean and spacious. We really enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay here. It is a beautiful place, and very well maintained. The suite was fully stocked with fresh linens, the bathroom was a great size with a double vanity, the heat worked well and everything warmed up quite quickly. Check is was easy, and the complimentary breakfast was a great touch and delicious! Of all the places we stayed while in Alaska, this was our only AirBNB but it was my favorite place we stayed.

A few things you need to know before selecting this accommodation for your stay: It is right on the beach; not across the street or down the road or in sight of, right on the beach! Your front porch leads to a private “yard”, then to the beach and view of all those mountains. It is clean and spacious with a queen bed AND a pull out couch (we didn’t use the couch but the bed was amazingly comfortable). It is downstairs with another rental above. This is clearly stated in the listing. What isn’t listed is that upstairs has barn doors on rollers that sound like a bowling alley is up there. Now you’ve been warned. It was only a disturbance for us late at night. Lastly, this place is owned by Resurrection Lodge on the Bay a small boutique hotel. That only matters to note they serve an included breakfast and all day coffee and cookies! Such a nice, unexpected perk. Michelle is super nice and friendly and it was very obvious she wanted our stay to be a positive one.
