Five stars for a great location at the marketplace and a wonderful ancient building with all mod cons. A generous cancellation policy which we needed as we had to cancel our last night. Make sure you know how to get to the back entrance. Max didn't get back to us one time about a shower but I think he says he isn't always available (emergency contact listed) but we didn't pursue it – not an issue. You need to be fit to handle the stairs. For us it was great; wouldn't have missed it. It anchored a great visit.

The photos cannot capture the extraordinary charm and historic nature of this place, staying there enhanced our experience of Faversham hugely. We'd definitely go back. It couldn't be more central and walking out on to the old square on market day was a joy. The private parking is a valuable asset in this little town. Being such an old place (but with a good, modern kitchen) it has its quirks and it's probably not the ideal place for small children.
