Step inside our charming barn, meticulously restored to combine rustic charm with modern comfort. The spacious and versatile interior can be adapted to accommodate various families, group sizes and needs, ensuring a seamless flow of energy and creativity. Bathed in natural light, the barn creates an ambiance that is both invigorating and soothing, allowing guests to immerse themselves within our beautiful escape in nature. Flooded with natural daylight and hand finished, our signature rustic reclaimed charm. The Stables has lovely underfloor heating throughout. The Stables sleeps 8-10. With 8 beds and 1 double sofa bed in the kitchen/lounge area. 3 bedrooms: Room One: 1 bunk bed 2 single bed's sleeps 4 Room Two: 2 single zip and link beds that can be turned into 1 double, sleeps 2 Room Three: 2 single zip and link beds that can be turned into 1 double, sleeps 2, en-suite bathroom with shower. 1 shared bathroom with bath and shower 1 small communal toilet All bathrooms are brand new and modern. The kitchen is complete with a single fan oven and grill and an electrical 4 burner hob, fully kitted out with general appliances. The upcycled dining room table can comfortably seat 10 guests, all overlooking a lovely patio with veg and herb garden and a view into the cow fields. There is a separate space available to hire for guests wishing to add experiences to their stay. Guests looking to add creative or well-being experiences can hire the self-contained workshop that is near the barn. Options to get curated experiences organised for your stay on request.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were a group of 8 with ages ranging from 4 to 70. The cottage was great for all of us. We had a fantastic time exploring the area. We would definitely recommend it and would love to come back.

We loved it here. Great location, comfy beds, enough space for 7 of us and walks right on the doorstep. The sauna and ice bath were an amazing bonus at the end of a long and muddy walk!

We had a very comfortable stay at The Stables at Croft Farm. The accommodation was very clean and beautifully decorated and furnished. The underfloor heating was lovely and warm. There were some pretty walks straight from The Croft and the visit to the nearby Buddhist monastery was an unexpected treat. The only negatives were that it was quite difficult to find so some better instructions on how to find it would have been appreciated. Also, although the view from the lounge area was scenic as shown in the photos , there are other areas of the development that look very scruffy, which wasn’t apparent from the photos. However, these points did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the weekend and it was reasonably priced. We would definitely return again .

Couldn’t fault The Stables as a place for a few of us (all adults) to stay for a weekend in order to attend friends’ party in nearby Northchurch. Property spacious and beautifully done with nice creative touches, the whole place pristine, a sense of remoteness due to the peaceful countryside location yet within easy reach (with car) of several pubs/eateries and lovely walks. The sleeping arrangements would be less than ideal with 9 adults (we were only 5 in the end) unless people were happy to share the 4-bed room, but in all other respects The Stables is well equipped for a group of that size. Friendly, helpful hosting and good communication by Marcus added to our very good experience.

The Croft Farm is founded on Land of Outstanding Beauty. Nestled amongst whimsical woodlands to one side, with views of the rolling hills of Great Gaddesden to the other. Perfectly situated on the doorstep of two National Parks. We have our very own Sauna & plunge bath, and a whole array of exciting places nearby to keep you entertained.
Our Scandinavian Barrel Sauna is available to hire - this is in our communal area and available for all guests, we have ICE baths and a refreshing outdoor cold shower for the ultimate detox and rejuvenation experience! We hold an Icebath & Sauna Session on Tuesdays which is available at a lower price for guests staying on the farm if they wish to take part.
The Barn next door also has a Yoga Studio - which has yoga, meditation, sound healing and more weekly/monthly which is offered at a discounted price.
Ashridge is a firm favourite amongst guests as it's just a hop and a skip down the public footpath. Famous for the picturesque bluebells in Spring and the Ivinghoe Beacon.
Whether it's shopping or exploring historic artefacts, the quaint town of Berkhamsted is a pleasure to spend time in. Berkhamstead also boasts an art deco single screen cinema originally opened in the 1930s. Complete with a fantastic wine bar, it's understandable why this is nearly a sell out most nights.
We love a few pubs in the area, all around a 45-60 min walk, or 6-10 min drive:

We highly recommend the Open Meditation sessions on Saturday afternoons at the Amaravati Buddhist Monastery. Just a 25 minute walk away, we're very lucky to have this gem right on our doorstep.
Dunstable Downs is an absolute delight just a 10 minute drive away.
A beautiful sunset spot and a calendar full of events.. stargazing in the planetarium anyone?
A jaw-dropping experience at the Warner Bros Studio Tour. Walk in the footsteps of Harry Potter and explore the making of the famous film series.
Hemel Hempstead's own Val Thorens at The Snow Centre. London's closest indoor real snow slope, providing perfect indoor skiing and snowboarding conditions.

We are a 10 minute drive away from Hemel Hempstead Train Station and Berkhamsted Train Station. 25 minute drive from Luton Airport and are also a 10 minute drive from the M1 turn off.
Uber's are available from Hemel Hempstead or other surrounding towns to The Croft but a local taxi service will need to be booked to get anywhere from The Croft.
