Cosy cottage for 2, with a 4-poster king bed and log burner. All on the ground floor, it is accessible for those with some mobility problems (although paths are uneven and doors not quite wide enough for wheelchairs), and has a wet room. Kitchenette at back of living room, which has patio doors opening onto the enclosed garden (step down). One or two small to medium size dogs or small children welcome, with cot and high chair available on request. Hot Tub available to rent at extra cost. Converted from a 17th century cattle shed, Harebell has high vaulted ceilings and lots of exposed beams.

I had exams in the vicinity so my dog and I had a wonderful two weeks stay at Harebell. It is very quiet, rustic and in the beautiful British countryside. Perfect for us. My parents also visited for a night and stayed in one of the other cottages on the farm and thoroughly enjoyed their stay too. Kate and co. couldn't have been more accommodating and I certainly recommend.

Very clean and cosy cottage and very central to the locations we wanted to visit! The hosts were very responsive with the couple of questions I had! Hoping to stay again someday as we are missing the very friendly sheep already! 🥰

Harebell is one of 5 cottages on a farm (no longer working) in a quiet rural area, surrounded by fields and woodland. The town of Lydney is only 4 miles away, with supermarkets and restaurants.
It is a few hundred metres from the River Severn, although this is not visible from the property as there are trees in the way. Situated on the edge of the Forest of Dean, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The farm is approx 1 mile from the village of Blakeney, from where there is an infrequent bus service. The nearest train station is at Lydney, 4 miles away, on the Newport to Gloucester branch line.
It is difficult to get around without a car.
