The posada is located in a very nice and quiet town. Sonia and Santiago were very friendly and I felt right at home. Sonia was there every morning and evening to meet me and make breakfast and dinner. Santiago took me horseback riding. I was invited for the pizza party which was really lovely and the pizza was amazing! Better than in Italy. All in all I am very glad to have stayed with them, get to know the place and the local people a bit. It was a unique experience for me.
Die Lage auf dem Hügel ist super und man hat eine fantastische Aussicht. Die Gastgeber sind sehr aufmerksam und machen alles möglich. Die Zimmr sind rustikal mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und es gibt einen Heizofen. Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit
Thank you Santiago and Sonia! The place is located in one of the most loveliest towns around Puno ( 20 mins from Puno) full of history, traditions, and beautiful views. If you want to come to Chucuito, give yourself the opportunity to meet this posada, a very rustic, and special place to stay. Great rooms, they have everything you might need ( GOOD VIEWS, good bed, good bathroom, hot water, hot tea, heater, blankets (you wont even need them) the place has a lovely dining room, bar and games. They also have a pizza oven where they apparently make the best pizzas in town, but we didn’t have time to taste these, so we will defo be back for those! :) Sonia is lovely, she will make sure you have everything you need to have a great time and she will also help you plan the rest of your trip around Puno. Don’t think twice, come and meet this place and their lovely people! you will have a great time!

The place is amazing! The rooms were super comfortable with lots of beautiful details and thought full touches. The grounds were spacious and green with spectacular views of lake Titicaca. The food in the restaurant was fairly priced and delicious. The home made pizza was a highlight. The staff and owners went out of their way to make our stay the most pleasant as possible. All in all one of the best places I have stayed in all my travels in Peru.

We are a family who has a B&B unique in his style (my father Santiago built it in 15 years). I'm Samuel, I love to travel and I'm half Italian for this reason I'm not stay always in Peru. Now at the Posada Santa Barbara you can meet Sonia (a family friend who helps us with the B&B), Anja (the partner of my father) who will start with a new project of tours with horses in the local area near the Titicaca lake. Also Anja works a lot with others volunteer from the world. And my father Santiago who do a bit of all. Nosotros somos una familia que posee un B&B único en su estilo (mi padre lo construyo en 15 anos). Yo soy Samuel, me encanta viajar y soy medio Italiano, por esta razón no me encuentro siempre en Perú. Ahora en la Posada Santa Barbara vosotros podéis conocer Sonia ( una amiga de familia que nos ayuda con el B&B), Anja (la pareja de mi padre) que empezara un nuevo proyecto de tours a caballo en la área cercana del lago Titicaca. Anja también trabaja mucho con voluntarios desde todo el mundo. Por fin mi padre Santiago que se ocupa un poco de todo.
