Situated in the heart of an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' in the Chiltern Hills. Minutes from M40 Jct6 & the idyllic market town of Thame, 25 mins to Oxford, 60 mins to central London driving, 35 minutes to Marylebone train station from Haddenham or Princes Risborough train stations. We can accommodate from 2-9 guests. This listing is for one bedroom (2 adults), please see 'The Space' section in how we can accommodate 3 guests or more, before enquiring, to ensure the prices are accurate. BEDROOM 1 (2 GUESTS) = £80/NIGHT BEDROOM 2 (2 GUESTS) = £80/NIGHT ROOM 3 (PLAYROOM) * = £45/NIGHT * (AVAILABLE TO BOOK ON REQUEST, IN CONJUNCTION WITH A BEDROOM BOOKING, VIA MESSAGE) Please let us know if you would like to book the additional rooms and we can assist. My wife and I along with our son loved staying in this beautiful, comfortable and sparkling clean accommodation. Lou and Mark are the nicest hosts and we all wished we could have stayed longer as it felt like being home. There was plenty of space and a beautiful garden for our son to romp around and he was more than happy to have played with their son's toys. Lou was fantastic at communicating, always around if we needed anything but gave us privacy. I'd definitely recommend this place, and would love to come back.

You can expect a nice stay in this historic cottage, it’s perfect location if you are heading to Oxford from London, two nights’ stay is recommended, can have another stay on the way back. Mike, Luo and Bailey are friendly hosts and we felt welcomed. We’ve had a nice breakfast chat and enjoyed the fresh fruits Luo made for us, kids also loved the after-breakfast games upstair. Miss everything there, will back again.

I almost want to keep Mark and Lou's house a secret! It was like arriving to stay with old friends, their house is just beautiful and they are the loveliest of hosts. Our daughter and spaniel felt like part of the family. We will definitely return very soon. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Nur 20 min von Oxford sehr ruhig gelegen. Sehr schönes Haus, sehr nette Gastgeber. Recht einfaches, gesundes Frühstück. Nicht typisch englisch!

A beautiful little village, over the road from a wonderful little park and 2 mins to the Shepherds Crook village pub with roaring log fires, cosy chairs and a gorgeous home cooked menu. Regular buses take you in to Thame and Oxford.
The Chiltern Hills are a beautiful, unspoilt part of the country. They lie close to the north-west of London and yet retain their rural character. The government designated them as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1965, recognising their place as part of the finest countryside in England.
The neighbouring sister village of Aston Rowant has a rich history stretching back to the Domesday Book in the year 1086. The original village church probably dates from the 11th century, although there may have been a Saxon church on the same site prior to the Norman conquest.
