We booked Carolina & Justin’s cozy cottage for a weekend getaway. It’s just as described - private, peaceful, and in a beautiful location on a hill above the river. Our 4 year old loved exploring the property and it’s an easy and short drive to nearby towns and restaurants. Carolina and Justin were extremely responsive to our messages and very helpful. The driveway up to the house is a little steep - we recommend arriving when it is light out to make it easier to navigate!

Carolina and Justin were very friendly/helpful! They checked in with us to make sure everything was okay with our stay, and they also gave us plenty of privacy/did not reach out more than necessary. The photos matched the listing, although I agree with other reviews that the space was smaller than anticipated (but lovely). I misunderstood the listing and thought it was on the water (it's not), but there is a public dock (we never found it, as everything looked to be private, but we also never asked; I'm sure the hosts would have told us where it was). You do need to be mindful of water use; we tried to be conservative, but we found that hot water ran out in the shower very quickly. We were in town for a wedding, and if 4 people had all been trying to shower in the same timeframe, it wouldn't be possible to do so with warm water. Value seemed on par with the area, but price may seem high compared to other locations. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

We loved staying at Carolina & Justin's place! It's small and cozy, and in such a beautiful setting. The dock access was amazing - I saw multiple bald eagles from the dock :) The cabin had everything we need and was very comfortable. Carolina & Justin were responsive to our needs. Would highly recommend!

A cozy cottage with beautiful woods and lake view- loved all the windows! Location was close to Boothbay Harbor and a good spot to go out and explore other towns in Maine. Justin and Carolina were great with information on the area, and very responsive.

Carolina & Justin were really nice, caring and responded very quickly. La casita offers everything you need for a great stay. Apart from the fact that it was priced rather high, we have no criticisms whatsoever. Definitely recommended!
