Our stay was wonderful. We enjoyed the house very much.
It was a great place to stay. Lovely old home with modern comforts. Clean, comfortable, good kitchen and lots of space. All of our questions were answered quickly and easily, and we felt very welcome and at home. We were able to cook a full thanksgiving dinner in the well-equipped kitchen. Nice selection of board games, easy walk to the shore.
The place was beautiful! My family of 7 enjoyed it fully. The locals are fantastic as well. We had assumed that the bunkee was included in the price we paid, in saying that we had 6-9 people coming, and would settle the cost when we knew an exact number, and we had discussed this when i booked. There are cameras always watching you, which feels a little invasive. They knew the second we opened the house, the bunkee and watched all of us walk in and out of the house. In the end, I paid for 6 people originally, and needed up paying 130$ more for one extra person, and the bunkee that I had thought they already charged me for. We stayed from Friday to Sunday, and the ferry only goes twice on Sunday. (9am & 5pm). The check out is 1pm. We asked if there was anywhere on the island for us to stay from 1pm until 5, and they just suggested we take the 9am ferry… just be aware of this when booking. We had to get up at 7am on our vacation to clean, pack, and walk to the ferry.
We had such a great time on the island, the house was nice and clean and had so many things stocked that saved the day! We really appreciated the thought that went into the house and everything available to us. Everyone on island were so friendly, kind and helpful, they waved and even invited us over for wood fired pizza! Would love to spend more time there, we will be back! Have fun! Tobias and Rachel
Me and my friends loved this place. The house had a ton of character which matched the island perfectly. It was so peaceful and beautiful there. We will definitely be staying again at some point. I have also recommended the stay to many ppl at my work. It was such an awesome stay I didn’t want to come home afterwards

Big Tancook Island is filled with friendly, helpful neighbours. Feel free to say hi or ask a question to anyone you see. School playground with climbing structure, swings and basketball court are visible from our patio. Enjoy your morning coffee with peace of mind while your children play. Short walk to the community rec centre.
A pick-up from the ferry wharf to the cottage with our property manager can be arranged ( we ask guests to give Tanya a tip for the convenience of being met at the ferry).
We also have an adult bike and kids bike for guests to use to explore the island. The island is very walkable.
