John is a very nice person and is responsive and helpful. However, his place is completely unacceptable to stay in and we cannot recommend it to anyone. First of all, there is a bad smell permeating the place; it worsens when the AC is on. In addition, John is the only one with control to the temperature. The unit is not quiet but loud. There is no electrical outlet in the bathroom and the only window in the unit is located in the bathroom. It is a very hard to reach window and so we could not open it to air out the place. We had rented the unit for three nights, but found other housing after one night. John did refund us for the remaining two nights but because of last minute booking, our alternative rental cost more than $300 a night.
