Very comfortable home with all the amenities we needed for our stay. Great location for hiking in the surrounding areas and close to Muir Woods. San Rafael had plenty of things to do if desired and good restaurants. Weather was also great during our stay and we had a nice yard to be outside at the home. Would definitely stay again if back in the area.

We had a great stay at Kathleen’s house! The location was perfect, just a couple minute walk from a great little market and a playground which my son loved. The neighborhood is beautiful and safe. Kathleen’s house had everything we needed, was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely love to come back!

Perfect! Spotless, easy check in, peaceful! Kathleen checked on us daily to be sure everything was on point. This will be my first choice on my next visit to San Rafael! I saw another comment about the back door. You lift the handle to lock the door. I figured it out in two movements. You hear it lock and feel it’s locked. Pet sitter was there and never came into the home. This stay was perfect!

Kathleen was kind and proactive in messaging about the check in/out process. She was also very accommodating at working out a potential early check in. The door to the backyard in the bathroom doesn’t lock and there were sheets in the washer/dryer during our stay. We then saw in the guest book that it if we were sharing the property, that the washer dryer may be used by whoever else is on property. This was news to us and made us uneasy because we didn’t plan to share the indoor space, just the backyard. The kitchen dishwasher was full but had not been started, so we had to take someone else’s dirty dishes and clean them as there were no mugs/plates clean. It felt like maybe some of the cleaning before our stay didn’t get done? That in combination with not knowing if/when the pet sitter in the casita was going to enter the main home made our stay a bit awkward. Overall, communication and cleanliness need improvement

We absolutely loved Kathleen's place. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and her house is beautifully decorated. Would love to stay here again when we are back in the area.
