Mu husband and I want a retreat for our 13 anniversary, this place is so relaxing, rustic but at the same time with modern appliances, we love the ambience, the bedroom has blue lights all around with a reflector lamp on the night table, very romantic, we have a bottle of Champagne and to glasses that Dennis leave for us, nice detail..!!! the cabin has a lot of lights inside and outside, so you could see all surrounding, the street is rough but it wasn't that bad, just go slow, we love sitting on the porch at night, be aware that if is rainy you're going to have frogs company, I don't mind but other people do, that's nature, the shower spectacular.!!!, you could find a lot of everything in the pantry, I'll recommend a restaurant 20 minutes from there called EL GAUCHO INCA it's a Peruvian Argentinian fusion, very good food, Dennis was there on Sunday, but he respect our privacy, we just see him coming, I recommend this place if you like to be in a peace and quiet place
The place was described exactly as it was. Very peaceful and relaxing, the shower was the best! Host was very communicative and helpful.
Dennis was the most amazing host! He does live on property but I promise you couldn’t even tell. We came for a relaxing getaway for my birthday and boy was it just that. My husband was even able to plan a nice little birthday surprise entrance for me thanks to Dennis going the extra mile. We will definitely be coming back. One thing that isn’t said is that he has a beautiful little fountain in the back that made for a very serene feel when we had coffee in the mornings on the patio. Thanks again Dennis!

Buckingham rural community preserve is an agricultural and equestrian neighborhood in Fort Myers. It’s quiet and peaceful yet a lot closer to downtown than Lehigh Acres. The best attractions in the neighborhood are Six Mile Cypress Preserve North which has miles of great hiking trails during dry season (During wet season you can go to Six mile cypress preserve south which has a boardwalk through the cypress slough), Boathouse waterfront tiki restaurant which has a full resort pool free if you eat there, and Buckingham blues bar has live music. About 24 minutes to downtown Fort Myers, 40-60 min to Fort Myers beach, and 45 min to Naples you get the best of both old florida county living and quick access to historic Fort Myers and beautiful gulf beaches.
Only 15 min from I-75 Luckett Road exit 139 which will get you all around the region. Parking for 6 or more cars on the property is fine.
